The 2015 Honda Ridgeline will be introduced at one of the 2014 International Auto Shows, and it market appearance is expected by the end of the 2014. However, exact release date is still not confirmed by Honda. The 2015 Ridgeline is the next generation of trucks by Honda. The company is well known for their trucks and motorbikes, all over the world.
However, Honda will make pause after this model, as they plan to stop building the Ridgeline. Slow sales of the truck have prompted the automaker to pull it sooner than expected in 2016. So, Honda’s lineup will have a hole in it’s pickup-sized vehicle for next two years, first time since Ridgeline debuted in 2006. Last year, Honda sold just over 14,000 Ridgeline units, which is much less than 50,000 during the truck’s first year of sales.
2015 Honda Ridgeline redesign
The 2015 Honda Ridgeline’s design will be slightly different from it’s predecessors. Overall weight is about to be dropped, mainly because of the use of lightweight materials, like aluminum, for making new Ridgeline. Few hundred pounds less should improve fuel economy. Based on the previous models, this vehicle will have differences. It will keep its recognizable curves and lines. Headlights and taillights will bear some refreshments. Three color options will be available: white, dark and brownish. The front grille may also be revised. Front bumper is likely to obtain more attractive look.
Inside the vehicle we can expect some cutting-edge technology features, such as navigation system with a big touchscreen, enough airbags and probably something more.
2015 Honda Ridgeline engine
The 2015 Honda Ridgeline will use 3.7 L engine program that will possibly be able to generate more than 250 hp with 247 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain will be paired with 6-speed automatic CVT or VS transmission. The fuel economy should be improved and it is supposed that consumption will be lowered in comparison to the current model of this vehicle.
2015 Ridgeline price
The price of the 2015 Honda Ridgeline is still uncleared. Experts assume that it won’t be much different from the cost of current model. We can expect the price to start from $29,575. Competition to this vehicle will be Toyota Tacoma and Nissan Frontier.
